Asphalt Ridge Pioneer Plant Kickoff

Funding has been allocated for the Asphalt Ridge Pioneer plant. This plant will extract a low carbon asphalt and low sulfure diesel product from by mining surface deposits of bitumen / tar sands in the Uinta Basin. This project will be for 875 tons per day process on the established crown mine site. No water will be used to process the ore, and no waste products will result. This clean sheet design will target a 90% reduced CO2 footprint over conventional asphalt binder products. The product stream will also be used for development of a targeted 30% offset marine fuel together with Quadrise out of the UK.

First production is target for mid-2026.
