Valkor today issued clarifications regarding its AR Pioneer plant project and its proprietary oil sands processing technology as the project advances toward the construction phase.
AR Pioneer Project Progress
Valkor continues fabrication of the AR Pioneer plant and is preparing to enter the construction phase pending favorable weather conditions. The facility is designed to produce efficient, low-carbon asphalt and marine fuels without waste or water consumption.
Clarifications Regarding Business Relationships and Technology
Valkor wishes to address several matters that have recently been brought to the company's attention relating to the plan, the company, and the technology employed::
No Affiliation with Athacort Holdings Inc. Valkor and its personnel have no association whatsoever with Athacort Holdings Inc. Valkor has discovered that its personnel are listed on Athacort's website under the "Teams" tab without authorization or prior knowledge. Valkor has formally requested immediate removal of this information and reaffirms that no individual associated with Valkor has any connection to Athacort Holdings Inc.
Proprietary Technology Development The AR Pioneer plant utilizes Valkor's proprietary mined oil sands technology, which is entirely distinct from "CORT" technology. While Valkor provided technical assistance to Petroteq several years ago during the development of CORT technology, that relationship concluded due to payment disputes and the inability to reach agreement on future collaboration terms.
Valkor's proprietary technology employs a separate class of solvents along with distinct mixing, separation, and sand drying processes that do not infringe upon any claims contained in CORT technology patents.
